Magnetic Particles
YOKE

The magnetization is carried by induction of a magnetic field, generated by a U-shaped inverted eletroíman which is supported in part to be examined and where were placed the magnetic particles. When this eletroíman is traversed by electrical current (DC or AC), generate a longitudinal magnetic field between the legs of the Yoke, revealing the discontinuities.

Ultrasounds

Equipment consisting of oscilloscope and probes that emit high frequency waves that pass through the material and are reflected on the walls or discontinuities. The reflected sound energy is represented as a function of time in a screen.

Penetrant  Liquids

Technique used for visualization of surface defects. Application of penetrating liquid with high wetting power on the surface of the piece; removal of liquid and liquid application developer that will absorb the liquid that was inside the discontinuity, revealing it.

XRay

Equipment used for x-ray images in   plastic   and   composites materials.
