   The laboratory of Tribology (LabTrib) offers an area of about 30 square meters, some teaching equipment intended to quantify friction and wear on mechanical elements and a roughness tester. The lab supports various curricular units of the first cycle in mechanical engineering and also of the master's degree in mechanical engineering. The roughness tester has also been used in several works of research and masters' theses. In addition to the permanent equipment, during some months of the year the Lab offers vibration analysis equipment, ultrasonic analysis and thermography for supporting the curricular unit of Diagnostic Techniques.
